Lorry is blown over in 70mph winds in North Yorkshire
A lorry has overturned and soil has been blown off fields across main roads in North Yorkshire due to strong winds.
It was reported the lorry overturned on the A1(M) Northbound between J47 for Allerton Park and J48 for Boroughbridge.
It is believed the HGV hit the central reservation before overturning in the strong winds.
The Met Office issued a warning that wind could have reached speeds of 70mph before 1800 BST.
BBC Travel News also reported hazardous driving conditions on the A165 between Filey and Bridlington and the A171 between Sleights and Guisborough because of the wind speed.
