Fatal crash biker came from Cowthorpe

A motorcyclist who died after a collision with two cars in North Yorkshire has been named.

Philip Rodgers, 57, of Cowthorpe, near Wetherby, was in collision with the vehicles on the A661 between Plompton Rocks and the Kirk Deighton junction on Tuesday.

Police said he was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary where he later died. No-one else was seriously injured.

North Yorkshire Police want to speak to any witnesses.
