Scarborough primary school pupils forced to relocate
Pupils at a primary school in North Yorkshire are having to attend another school after building work over-ran.
Refurbishment work at the Hinderwell Community Primary School near Scarborough encountered "unexpected delays", according to the council.
Younger pupils will have to attend the Braeburn Nursery, Infant and Junior Schools until work is completed.
North Yorkshire Country Council expects that all classes will return to normal on 9 May.
Braeburn infant school is also being used as a polling station for the 5 May elections, so all younger children will have the day off on Thursday.
Hinderwell head teacher Phillip Snowdon said the situation was "very difficult".
"We're doing everything in our power to ensure [pupils'] education is not compromised," he added.
