Dozens of firefighters have tackled a large blaze at a waste management facility in North Yorkshire.

Crews were called just after 1922 BST on Tuesday to the Todd Waste Management site on Thirsk Industrial Park, Thirsk.

A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the blaze involved three buildings containing various waste products.

The spokeswoman said 12 fire engines had been sent the scene and described it as a "large scale incident".
