Stokesley fatal attack suspect appears in court

A youth has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a teenager who died after an attack in North Yorkshire.

Daniel Crowther, 17, died from head injuries after the attack outside College Pizzas in Stokesley High Street, Stokesley, on Saturday.

The charged 17-year-old, from Guisborough, appeared at Northallerton Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Northallerton Youth Court on 24 May.

A male and female, both 17, and a 25-year-old man, have been released on bail in connection with the inquiry.

The victim's family said Daniel's death had left a "huge hole" in their lives.
