Filey attack: two charged with wounding

Two teenagers have been charged over a "violent incident" in which a 61-year-old man was injured at a house in North Yorkshire, police have said.

Officers were called to the property on Hope Street in Filey early on Sunday.

The victim was taken to Scarborough District Hospital, where he remained in a stable condition on Monday.

Two males, aged 17 and 19, have been charged with wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a knife in public.

They are due to appear before Scarborough magistrates later.
