Two injured as motorcycle leaves A170

A motorbike rider has been seriously injured after the vehicle he was riding with a passenger came off the road in North Yorkshire.

The incident happened shortly after 09:30 BST on Sunday on the A170, as the bike was travelling in the direction of Sutton Bank from Thirsk.

The motorcycle passenger suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The vehicle was orange, white and black in colour, and travelling in a group with three other motorcycles.

Witnesses or anyone with information have been asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
