Burglars raid Yorkshire Dales antiques shop

More than £10,000 worth of antiques have been stolen from a shop in the Yorkshire Dales.

North Yorkshire Police said burglars smashed their way into Sturnam's Antiques on Main Street in Hawes in the early hours of Tuesday.

The stolen items include diamond solitaire rings and other rings set with precious and semi-precious stones.

Police said a dark Audi A3 was seen leaving the area and heading towards Leyburn.
