Body in River Ouse named as missing Jordan Sullivan

The body of a man found in the River Ouse has been identified as missing teenager Jordan Sullivan.

The 19-year-old from from York was last seen running naked towards the river at Naburn, near York, on 14 February.

North Yorkshire Police recovered the body from Naburn Marina at about 16:00 GMT on Wednesday. Specialist divers had been searching for Mr Sullivan.

Police said the inquest into his death was expected to open and be adjourned next Tuesday.

Mr Sullivan was last last seen at about 09:30 GMT on 14 February when he removed his clothing and ran towards the river.

The force previously said it did not know what had prompted Mr Sullivan's behaviour.
