Power restored to homes on North York Moors
Power has been restored to the remaining homes on the North York Moors left without electricity after bad weather brought down cables last week.
Sixteen homes in the Farndale Valley were all reconnected by 14:40 BST on Sunday, Northern Powergrid said.
Engineers had earlier restored power to Rosedale, Bransdale and Eskdale which had been cut off for four days.
The power cut was caused by wind and snow which brought down power lines across northern England on Tuesday.
At one stage on Wednesday morning, some 50,000 homes and businesses in northern England were without electricity.
