Sex assault claims at Harrogate Army training centre
The Army is investigating allegations of sexual assault at a training centre for junior soldiers in North Yorkshire.
The Army Foundation College in Harrogate trains future soldiers aged between 16 and 18.
A spokesman said allegations of sexual assault had been made against junior soldiers by fellow junior soldiers under training.
He said the matter was being investigated by the Army's Special Investigation Branch.
The spokesman added: "All those who are found to fall short of the Army's high standards or who are found to have committed an offence under the Armed Forces Act are dealt with administratively, up to and including discharge, or through the discipline process."
