Missing Barbara Colling: Body found on North York Moors

Barbara Colling Barbara Colling was last seen on 28 January

Police searching for a woman who went missing on the North York Moors more than two weeks ago say a body has been found.

Barbara Colling, 68, of Helmsley, was last seen walking on the B1257 at Newgate Bank on 28 January.

A member of the public found the body of a woman on nearby Hawnby Moor earlier, North Yorkshire Police said.

Although the body has not been formally identified, Mrs Colling's family has been informed.

The search operation, which peaked on Saturday when 130 volunteers took part, has been stood down, police said.
