£1.1m boost for North Yorkshire's hospices
Hospices in North Yorkshire have received more than £1.1m of government cash.

Nationwide 176 hospices were awarded grants by the Department of Health from an overall fund of £60m.
More than £7m has been handed to 19 hospices across Yorkshire and the Humber.
Tony Collins, from St Michael's Hospice, in Harrogate, told BBC Radio York: "Obviously times are very tough and we need to look forward to how we are going to cater for our patient need from a reduced senior income.
"So, for the Department of Health to make this commitment to end-of-life care is great, it's encouraging and obviously it's going to help us provide our services."
