Teenager Kirsty Findlay named as North Yorkshire crash victim

A teenage car passenger who was killed in a crash in North Yorkshire has been named by police.

Kirsty Findlay, 17, from Ebberston, was in a Ford Fiesta which was in collision with a transit van on Friday. The accident happened on the A170 near Pickering at 08:50 BST.

A 46-year-old woman injured in the crash remains in a stable condition at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.

The 52-year-old van driver remains on police bail.

The driver of the Fiesta, a 19-year-old man, was also injured but has left hospital.
