Death of woman found in Monk Fryston not suspicious

The death of a woman whose body was found in a field in North Yorkshire is not being treated as suspicious, according to detectives.

The discovery was made by a member of the public next to the A63 in Monk Fryston on Saturday.

Officers said the woman was believed to have been 51 but has not yet been formally identified.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death for a report to the coroner.
