Personnel from RAF Leeming have paraded through the streets of Ripon, North Yorkshire, to commemorate the Battle of Britain.

The event marks the air war over Britain in the summer of 1940 as RAF pilots fought off attacks by Nazi Germany.

Two Hawk training jets from the base took part in a fly-past as the parade reached the town's main square.

A special service of commemoration was held in Ripon Cathedral.
