Man, 90, dies in A168 crash in North Yorkshire
A 90-year-old man has died in a crash that closed the A168 in North Yorkshire for more than four hours.
His Peugeot collided with a Vauxhall near Thornton-le-Street at about 09:35 GMT as it overtook a lorry.
Two boys, aged six and eight, in the Vauxhall suffered minor cuts and bruises. Their mother, who was driving the car, has a suspected broken sternum.
They were taken to Middlesbrough's James Cook Hospital.
The A168 was reopened at about 14:00 GMT, North Yorkshire Police said.
Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
