Otley cyclist killed in Bolton Abbey crash with car

A cyclist died when he was knocked down by a car in North Yorkshire.

The 40-year-old man, from Otley, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the B6160 between Bolton Abbey, near Skipton, and Barden Tower, at 11:30 GMT on Sunday.

North Yorkshire Police said the man was with two other cyclists when he was hit by a silver Hyundai i30 travelling towards Barden.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
