Britain's most northerly vineyard has won two medals at a top awards ceremony.

Ryedale Vineyards, at Westow near York, claimed two bronze medals at the International Wine Challenge ceremony, where judges taste wines blindfolded.

The vineyard is the most northerly commercial vineyard in the UK and has been producing wines since 2009.

It was a record year of success for English wine, with 72 wines receiving medals - up from 38 in 2014.
