A tractor driver was injured when his vehicle was hit by a train on a farm level crossing in North Yorkshire.

Emergency services, including two air ambulances, were called to the crossing near Knaresborough at 18:19 BST.

The driver was taken to Harrogate District Hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be serious. Two train passengers suffered minor injuries.

Northern Rail said its services between York and Harrogate were now running as normal.

A spokesman said the train involved was the 17:29 from Leeds to York via Harrogate.
