Teenager tied up by filling station robbers in Toome

A teenage filling station worker has been tied up by two armed robbers in Toome.

The masked men, one armed with a handgun and one with a baseball bat, entered the premises on Main Street at about 2100 BST on Sunday.

They forced the 18-year-old into a store room and tied his hands and feet. He was not injured.

The pair drove off in a small dark-coloured van with cash and cigarettes. Police have appealed for information.

Both of the men wore balaclavas and dark clothing.

The first was around 5ft 9in, in his early to mid-20s and of stocky build. The second was around 6ft and of thinner build.
