Woman is raped in south Belfast

Police are investigating an alleged rape in south Belfast.

The sex attack happened in the University area of the city early on Saturday morning.

Police said it was believed a woman was assaulted by two men in an alleyway between Cromwell Road and Ireton Street between 0030 BST and 0130 BST.

They have appealed for information about the incident.
