Three wounded in Dublin bar shooting

Two men are critically ill after a shooting at a pub in north Dublin.

A man in his 30s was shot in the head and two others were injured in the shooting which happened in Fairview at about 0030 BST on Monday.

A man armed with two guns approached a group of people standing outside the pub and fired a number of shots.

He chased one man, who is in his 30s, into the bar and shot him. He is in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.

A man in his 20s is also critical and is being cared for at the Mater Hospital.

A third man in his 30s is in a serious condition.

Irish police are at the scene and the area has been cordoned off.

A number of people have been killed in the Dublin area this year in shootings blamed on criminal gangs.
