Man charged over rioting in north Belfast

A 34-year-old man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court later charged with rioting in north Belfast.

He has been charged with riotous assembly and attempted criminal damage.

The charges relate to rioting in the Ardoyne area on 12 July.

Several police officers were injured during three nights of violence in Ardoyne over the Twelfth period. More than 40 people have been charged with rioting in Belfast over the Twelfth.
