It has been a busy weekend for world-record beating in County Tyrone.

Darts players at the Weigh Inn Bar in Omagh beat the 19-year-old record for finishing a game starting from 1,000,001 in the least number of darts.

The eight man-team threw 35,698 darts to complete the challenge in a fundraiser for the Alzheimers' Society and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Meanwhile, hockey players in the town have also broken the world record for the longest match.

The game began on Friday morning and lasted for an marathon 30 hours and 15 minutes, beating the old record by more than five hours.

The record-breaking game was to raise money for the Omagh branch of Riding for the Disabled.

The final score was 196 to the Colts, 190 to the Mustangs.
