Two charged over cannabis finds

Two men aged 28 and 31 have been charged following the seizure of cannabis worth more than £200,000 in two separate operations.

Herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £35,000, an air rifle and money were found at a house in Keady, County Armagh, on Friday night.

In a separate, unrelated incident on Friday, cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £200,000 and drug-making equipment were seized after a search of a house in Katesbridge, County Down.

The 28-year-old man, arrested in connection with the incident in Keady, is expected to appear at Banbridge Magistrates Court sitting in Newry on 5 October.

The 31-year-old, arrested in connection with the incident in Katesbridge, will appear at the same court which is sitting in Newry on Monday.
