Attempted murder charges after Belfast attack

Two men have been charged with attempted murder following an attack on a man in north Belfast.

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with head injuries after he was assaulted in Silverstream Gardens shortly before midnight on Saturday.

His condition is described as serious but not life threatening.

Two men, aged 20 and 21, have been charged with attempted murder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage.

They are expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court later on Monday.
