Housing chief relieved of duties

A senior Housing Executive member has been relieved of duties pending an investigation into his alleged relationship with a contractor.

Housing and Regeneration assistant director Ross Campbell, however, has not been suspended.

He is understood to have taken a period of leave while the matter is investigated.

It is believed the internal inquiry relates to allegations work was carried out on his home by a major contractor.

His immediate boss at the executive, Colm McCaughley, is also not at his desk.

He is being investigated in relation to another matter and is on sick leave.
