Family Focus: Tax Credits

With just weeks until the details of which cuts will be made as part of the government's spending review a big concern for many families is what will happen to tax credits.

Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits are payments from the government, the rate of which depends on your circumstances.

For many people they are the key to affording childcare.

In the last budget the government announced plans to make some cuts but at the same time the Work and Pensions Minister, Iain Duncan Smith, says his focus is on having a system that makes work pay.
