Motorcyclist killed in west Belfast accident

A motorcyclist has been killed in an accident on the outskirts of west Belfast.

Alistair Arbuckle, 54, from the Crumlin area, came off his bike at Wheelers Road in Hannahstown at about 1300 BST on Friday. No other vehicles were involved.

The accident scene, off the Springfield Road, was cordoned off for a time but has since reopened.

Detectives have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
