Woman released over city stabbing in Belfast

An 18-year-old woman arrested after a stabbing incident near Belfast city centre on Saturday has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A man was injured during the attack in the Donegal Pass area at about 0030 BST. A 17-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in custody.

The victim, who is in his early 30s, was treated in hospital for a number of stab wounds to his thighs and buttocks.

His condition was described as serious.
