Two men are rescued from arson attack at Strabane flats

Two men have been rescued from a fire in a flat in Strabane.

It broke out shortly after 0400 BST on Monday morning on the ground floor of the block of flats in Lisnafin Park. The fire service said it was started deliberately.

The Group Commander with the Fire Service in Strabane, Eamon Gallagher, said it was fortunate that more people were not in the flats at the time.

Firefighters said that fire alarms in the flats had "done their job".
