Security guard stabbed during cash-in-transit van robbery

A security guard has been stabbed in the side during the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Belfast.

He and a colleague were attacked by two men armed with knives at the Shane Retail Park on Boucher Road at about 1240 BST on Wednesday.

The guard's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A stolen cash box and its contents were recovered at the retail park, and a car was found on fire at Norglen Court in west Belfast.

Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
