Woman's guilty plea over partner's manslaughter

Scales of justice

A woman has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of the father of her son.

Aneta Sadowska, 36, was accused of murdering her partner Marek Seweryn, 37, in their Omagh home in 2008.

It was claimed the pair had been drinking heavily after the christening of their son, when tensions surfaced over Mr Seweryn losing his job.

Ms Sadowska, who is originally from Poland, was released on continuing bail and will appear in court in Belfast on 10 December.

Mr Justice Hart told Sadowska the fact that she had been released on bail did not indicate she would escape a prison sentence.
