Teenager on Rathcoole riot charge

A 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with recent rioting on the Rathcoole estate in Newtownabbey.

The teenager is due to appear at the Youth Court in Belfast later this month.

Two men, aged 17 and 19, who were also being questioned by detectives, have been released without charge.

The riots last month followed police raids connected with a Serious Crime Branch investigation into crime carried out by the UVF in north Belfast.
