Ministers are to review progress on budget discussions when the Executive meets later on Thursday.

A report from the Executive review committee on the budget is expected to be presented.

Finance Minister Sammy Wilson has warned that time is running out to reach agreement.

He said he wanted a decision within a fortnight to allow proper scrutiny and consultation.

Mr Wilson said he was frustrated over the Executive's failure to deliver a draft proposal.

He had warned that an emergency budget might have to be brought in.

But the Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness said his party will not be rushed into making a decision that fails the community.

Stormont is the last devolved administration to agree a budget.
