A family has been left shaken after their home in Rasharkin was attacked.

A PSNI spokesperson said that a window of the house in Belmont Park was smashed at about 2355 on Sunday.

Two males were seen running from the house.

Local DUP councillor John Finlay visited the family just after the incident.

Mr Finlay said he "totally condemned" the attack.

"This is yet another example of ethnic cleansing going on in the village which republicans deny."

The councillor appealed to anyone with information to bring it to the police.

There have been a number of sectarian attacks in the village over the past year.
