Money and car taken at knifepoint

Police are investigating a robbery at knifepoint and other incidents in Newtownabbey.

A man entered a house in the King's Crescent area at about 0720 GMT on Sunday.

The intruder threatened the 24-year-old man living in the house with a knife before escaping with a sum of cash and the man's silver Saab car.

The car was found abandoned a short time later in the Shore Crescent area.

The front was damaged and police believe it may have been involved in a collision after being stolen.

The PSNI is also looking for a man seen driving a silver Peugeot car close to the scene who may also have been involved in this incident.

This vehicle was found abandoned on the Shore Road at about 0800 GMT on Sunday.

The man driving the Peugeot car is described as being 6ft tall, of slim to medium build with fair hair and was wearing an orange coloured shellsuit top and jeans.

The second man, who was seen with the Saab car, is described as being about 5ft 7in tall, of slim build with short black hair and was wearing a navy coloured jacket.

Police have appealed for anyone with any information about these incidents to contact them.
