'Considerable sum' stolen from Park Avenue Hotel

A gang of robbers has taken a considerable sum of money during a raid at a hotel in east Belfast.

The police have said four masked men wearing florescent jackets entered the Park Avenue on the Holywood Road at about 0930 GMT on Monday.

They threatened staff before escaping through the back of the building with the money.

A white four-door Vauxhall Corsa car may have been used by the robbers, police added.

They have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
