Londonderry company fined for waste breach

Confiscation orders of more than £88,000 have been made against a recycling company, and one of its directors, after they admitted breaching environmental legislation at Lisahally in Londonderry.

Foyle Recyclers Limited and its director had an order made against them at Londonderry Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Both defendants will be sentenced, together with Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners, who have previosuly made admissions, next month.

Foyle Recyclers Limited admitted four breaches of environmental legislation at their Port Road offices between September 2005 and November 2007.
