Belfast newsagent robbed at knifepoint

A Belfast newsagent has been robbed at knifepoint.

At about 2045 GMT on Thursday, a man armed with a knife entered the shop in the Northumberland Street area and stole cash and cigarettes.

The man escaped on foot along the Falls Road where police believe he may have got into a dark-coloured car.

He is described as being approximately 20 years old, 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build and was wearing a grey hoody and blue jeans.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the robbery to contact them.
