Police appeal for witnesses after an attempted robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery on the Antrim Road.

Two men, one armed with a knife, entered a business premises in the Skegoneill area at about 1235 GMT on Thursday.

Money was demanded from an employee who was uninjured during the incident. The men left empty-handed

On Wednesday at a commercial premises on the Antrim Road, a man held up staff with a knife before escaping with cash.

He is described as approximately 20-years-old with short black hair.

The man is believed to have made off along Gray's Lane where he discarded the jacket and baseball cap close to Gray's Court.
