Robber threatens Belfast chemist shop staff

Staff at a Belfast chemist have been threatened by an armed robber.

A man entered the shop on the Antrim Road and threatened staff with a knife before making off with a quantity of diazepam and temazepam shortly before 1800 GMT on Friday.

The man escaped along the Antrim Road in the Fortwilliam direction.

A 19-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and released on bail.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
