The Public Prosecution Service has decided to take no further action against a Latvian mushroom picker charged with the theft of a packet of king prawns costing £6.99.

A crown court judge halted the trial in Newry on Thursday.

Arija Kehere, 54, of Main Street, Keady, had pleaded not guilty to the theft from Sainsbury's in Armagh.

The judge stopped the trial because of mistakes in the police investigation.
