Man due in court over Kilkeel murder

A man is due in court later charged in connection with a murder in Kilkeel, County Down.

Ukrainian born, Dmytro Grysunov, 29, was shot dead during a clash between two groups of foreign nationals at Rooney Park on 23 April.

A 28-year-old man is due to appear in court in Newry charged with affray and assisting an offender in connection with the killing.

Two other men have been arrested in Dublin in relation to the murder.

A man in his 20s was arrested on Wednesday after he made enquiries about applying for a passport at a Garda station in the city.

A second man was arrested in a follow-up search in north Dublin on Friday.

A 32-year-old woman appeared in court in Newry on Friday charged in connection with the murder.

She was charged with assisting an offender, perverting the course of justice and withholding information.

Three men aged 31, 36 and 26 have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

It is believed a dispute started when a house was attacked at Haywood Way at 2100 BST on 23 April.

The trouble then moved to Rooney Park, where at least two shots were fired in the street.

The attackers fled the scene on foot.
