Woman injured in Belfast car 'hijacking'

A woman has been forced from her car and knocked to the ground in a hijacking in Belfast city centre.

The victim was taken to Belfast City hospital, where she was treated for cuts and bruises and a possible fractured arm following the attack on Glengall Street.

Police said she was forced from her vehicle by a man just after 1930 BST on Monday.

He is described as being white and in his early 30s.

He was wearing a pale grey t-shirt, knee length blue shorts and a grey or blue coloured baseball cap.

Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the hijacking to come forward with information.
