Man injured in Lisburn late night attack

A man has suffered injuries to his head and face in an attack in Lisburn, County Antrim.

Police said the serious assault happened in the Gregg Street area of the city at about 2330 BST on Friday.

The man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as not life threatening.

A man has been arrested on suspicious of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Police are also investigating an serious attack at a house in north Belfast.

The assault happened in the College Square North area shortly before 0530 BST on Saturday.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for injuries to his ear, eye and cheek.
