Kelly caught up in robbery crash

A car believed to have been used in a robbery in south Belfast has collided with a police vehicle and four other cars.

The incident occurred at Stockman's Lane Roundabout on Monday after two men robbed a shop on the Lisburn Road.

Sinn Fein's Gerry Kelly, who was driving by at the time, was slightly injured when his vehicle was struck by a green Subarau Impreza.

Police arrested three men and recovered a sum of money.

In a Twitter message after the incident Mr Kelly wrote: "What a day. Coming away from count and got hit hard by a getaway car after robbery. Thankfully on my own."
