Child injured in Belfast hit-and-run incident

A child has been injured during a hit-and-run incident in north Belfast on Monday.

Police said the five-year-old girl was struck by a small white hatchback, possibly a Volkswagen Polo or Renault Clio, which then drove off.

The child was taken to hospital to be treated for head injuries.

A PSNI spokesperson has appealed for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
