A winding-up order against Irish League club Glentoran FC has been dismissed.

The club was due to appear before the bankruptcy court in Belfast on Thursday after being served a petition by sportswear manufacturer Umbro.

The court confirmed on Friday the case had been dismissed.

Earlier this year, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) had brought a winding-up petition against Glentoran over unpaid taxes said to be in the region of £300,000, which was also dismissed.

Glentoran's financial troubles were eased in January when an anonymous benefactor gave the club £450,000 after approaches by Northern Ireland first minister and Glentoran fan Peter Robinson.
